About Us

The Lancet team is comprised of recognized leaders in research, commercialization and electronics design and manufacturing with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in today’s defense landscape. We have identified critical Department of Defense (DoD) and commercial applications that stand to benefit significantly from the development of custom analytical laboratory instrumentation and portable Mass Spectrometers.

Our mission is to advance technology in analytical research by creating state-of-the-art instrumentation that enhances operational efficiency and accuracy in complex environments. We are dedicated to delivering solutions that not only meet but exceed the stringent requirements of our clients, helping them stay ahead in an ever-evolving field.

Dr. Thomas Nabhani MD, PhD.

Principal Scientist

Dr. Nabhani is co-founder and the lead on Lancet Analytics Proteomics and bioinformatics AI applications. Thomas has 25 years experience developing bioinformatics, biostatistics, and machine learning models for clinical medicine and basic biomedical research.  He has developed predictive models for prostate and lung cancer as well as machine learning classifiers for protein structure prediction.  At Johns Hopkins, he developed a web-based data science platform for oncology data.  He has a MD/PhD (biophysics) and has done post-doctoral fellowships in tumor vaccine development and data science.

Facilities & Equipment

Lancet Analytics has access to workspace in a 28,000 sq.ft. mixed-use electronics innovation and manufacturing center in Hilliard, Ohio.  The facility has all the required systems to support design, development, prototyping, light manufacturing, test and evaluation of high technology electro-mechanical systems.

Lancet partners with other Labs to access multiple commercial mass spectrometers (Triple Quadrupole, Quadrupole, and Time-of-Flight) to use them as test beds for our custom ion source development and product validation process.

Electronics Design

Co-founders have combined experience in the design of electronics systems from high-speed digital design using FPGAs to analog RF / Microwave systems with an emphasis on testing and validation.

PCB & Electronics Manufacture and Assembly

The facility includes an SMT line to manufacture and populate larger quantities of customized printed circuit boards (PCB).  Including equipment for environmental testing and related electronics development for quality-controlled product builds.

Commercialization Partners

We are building a network of Mass Spectroscopy innovators who need low-cost analysis for their commercial products. The Lancet Analytics ion PSI-MS ion source opens a market for direct-to-consumer laboratory products such as products that have the potential to address a large commercial capability gap for a portable instrument with a lower cost of ownership.
